What has been your worst trade ever?

I think it's fair to say greed gets the best of us sometimes and looking to see what was your worst trade ever? Did this trade wipe you out? What lessons have you learned after such a trade.

I wouldn't say I have had a worse trade ever. I have learned a hard lesson which took months to know when a position is against you and you get that (you know it's wrong) feeling GET OUT. It's clinically proven a person will take the risk 4 times more likely then sell the position. I like to keep this in mind every time I take a trade it keeps the discipline in check.

My worst trade was yesterday!!

Worst trade was about the amount of the circuit breaker I had for my account. That was before I realized the need for a solid money and risk management plan.

lol, I clearly remember having a few positions on the flash crash. Luckily I was able to exit all positions right away. I jumped back in to go short on a few plays but exited quickly as that was playing with fire. Many traders got burned and several retired early!
